We love technology, and know you do, too. Duh, you are reading this blog. But every now and then it’s nice to unplug and “recharge” something besides our phones and laptops. In recognition of National Day of Unplugging here are things to enjoy in Fort Worth away from screens and keyboards.

TRWD Flyfest – March 10, 2018

Whether you are an experienced angler or have never touched a fly rod, this fun day in and along the Trinity River in Fort Worth has something to hook everyone in the whole family. To create an optimal angling experience, TRWD will release 1,200 lbs. of Rainbow Trout and nearly 3,000 Texas native fish in the festival location.

Take a Hike at Eagle Mountain Park

Located less than 20 miles northwest of downtown Fort Worth, Eagle Mountain Park offers 450 acres of serenity and nearly 6 miles of natural hiking trails.

Explore Fort Worth’s only natural waterfall

Well-known to some and a complete mystery to others, Airfield Falls Trailhead & Conservation Park is Fort Worth’s only natural waterfall. This is the perfect time of year to slip off your shoes and walk through the shallow waters or take a break from a long run or bike ride and enjoy the view.

TRWD Geocache Adventure

This official Geotour will take you on a journey to discover hidden gems, historically significant locations and some of the most popular spots along the Trinity Trails in Fort Worth. An award awaits those clever enough to find all 30 caches we’ve hidden in the challenge.

Trinity Trails

The Trinity Trails are more than just 72 miles of walking, running and biking trails. They’re miles full of quality time with your loved ones, miles full of crushing your goals and miles full of good old fashioned fresh air.

National Day of Unplugging is celebrated from sundown to sundown March 9-10. The 24-hour global respite from technology highlights the value of disconnecting from digital devices to connect with ourselves, loved ones and our community. Learn more at https://www.nationaldayofunplugging.com/.
