Texas Water Devlopment Board visits District

By September 25, 2024

Members of the Texas Water Development Board, including Chairwoman Brooke Paup, made a stop in North Texas last week and visited two of TRWD’s East Texas water supply projects.

TWDB’s board members, along with TRWD’s General Manager Dan Buhman, visited the George W. Shannon Wetlands Project adjacent to Richland-Chambers Reservoir. Paup and Buhman also toured the JCC1 facility, which is part of the Integrated Pipeline Project. The IPL project will, when completed, allow both entities to share costs and resources needed to bring water back to one of the nation’s fastest growing regions.
