Reservoir Monitoring Update

By March 9, 2020

TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day.  Current reservoir conditions are provided below.  Currently, Eagle Mountain, Cedar Creek, and Richland-Chambers are making flood discharges.  Discharges at Eagle Mountain will be increased to a rate of 465 cfs later this morning.  Any additional updates to flood discharges will be posted here.

Overnight rainfall was relatively light, see Graphic-1 below.  Looking forward, there are additional low rain chances over the next few days.  Forecasted depths are expected to be less than 1/4 inch.  Forecasts are showing the possibility of heavy rainfall at the end of the work week; TRWD will continue to monitor the forecasts as they develop.  Please continue to follow the National Weather Service (NWS) and the River Forecast Center (RFC) for the latest information regarding the weather and river conditions, respectively.

Please be advised that forecasts and projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions. The next update will come tomorrow morning, unless conditions dictate otherwise.  Please check back.
