Reservoir Monitoring Update

By January 12, 2019

TRWD staff continues to monitor conditions in the TRWD reservoir watersheds 24 hours a day.  The rain is over for the time being, with the next chances coming late next week.  Follow the National Weather Service (NWS) for the latest weather information and forecasts.  Overall, the TRWD watersheds received less than an inch of rain, see map in Graphic-1.  So far there has been little impact at the lakes, but staff will be monitoring the response of the the streams for additional inflow to the lakes.  The heaviest rainfall fell in the far northwest end of the Bridgeport watershed near Antelope, TX.  Rain that falls up in this area can take 2 or more days to make its way into Bridgeport.  TRWD reservoirs will continue to make discharges as needed to return the pools to their conservation level.

Current lake levels can be viewed on the TRWD Home Page.  The blog will be updated periodically with additional information.  Please check back.
