Reservoir Monitoring Update

By December 29, 2018
Reservoir Conditions | TRWD

TRWD staff continues to monitor conditions in the TRWD reservoir watersheds 24 hours a day. Currently all TRWD reservoirs are above conservation level, and reservoir staff is monitoring reservoir and downstream conditions in order to return the pools to conservation level as safe and soon as possible. The latest reservoir projections are listed below.  Please be advised that projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions.

Reservoir Projections

  • Bridgeport – Pool will continue to recede over the next several days.
  • Eagle Mountain – Pool will continue to recede over the next several days.
  • Cedar Creek – Runoff from the outer reaches of the watershed are just now arriving at the reservoir resulting in a secondary wave of inflow.  Discharges were increased this morning to manage the pool level.
  • Richland-Chambers – Inflows peaked overnight around 25,000 cfs and are on the way down.  The pool is expected to peak this afternoon and is not expected to exceed 316.4 ft-msl.  Discharges will continue to manage the pool level.
  • Lake Worth* – Expected to hover around the 594.1 to 594.2 ft-msl range until discharges from Eagle Mountain can be reduced.

Current lake levels can be viewed on the TRWD Home Page.  The blog will be updated periodically with additional information.  Please check back.
