TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day. There was more rainfall yesterday in the TRWD watersheds, see Graphic-1 for rain totals. The area between Boyd and Eagle Mountain Lake saw 1 to 2 inches of rainfall late yesterday afternoon, which has raised the pool level at Eagle Mountain nearly 4 inches. More rain is expected today as a system is currently moving west to east. There are more rain chances tonight, but after that there appears to be a break from the rain on Wednesday and Thursday. See National Weather Service (NWS) guidance in Graphic-2, below.
Current reservoir conditions are shown below. Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek continue to make flood discharges. In response to the rise in pool level at Eagle Mountain, discharges are being increased from 790 cfs to 1,790 cfs this morning. This operation should start the pool level on a downward trajectory today. Despite more rain yesterday, Bridgeport remains below conservation level and is not expected to reach conservation at this time. Staff will continue to monitor conditions and make discharges as needed to safely move excess water through the system. Updates to lake status and flood discharges will be posted here.
