TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day. Heavy rainfall is possible through Thursday, which may bring additional 1-3 inches of rain. Rainfall for the past 24 hours varied from 0.5″ to 1.2″ in the Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain watersheds, and about 0.5″ in the Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek watersheds. See Graphic-1 for rainfall totals for the 24-hour period ending at 7:00 a.m. this morning. National Weather Service (NWS) guidance for today through tonight shows some dry weather during the day and the potential for scattered thunderstorms during the evening moving from East to West. See Graphic-2 and Graphic-3 for guidance on this evening’s rain and expected rainfall totals through Thursday, respectively.
Current reservoir conditions are shown below. Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek continue to make flood discharges. Discharges from Eagle Mountain are expected to continue. We believe Eagle Mountain is near its peak and should begin to recede later today, unless additional rain occurs. Bridgeport is not expected to reach conservation at this time. Staff will continue to monitor conditions and make discharges as needed to safely move excess water through the system. Updates to lake status and flood discharges will be posted here.
