TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day. Graphic-1 below shows the rain totals from yesterday. Rainfall should be coming to an end for now; there is a chance of isolated/scattered storms Saturday and Sunday. See Graphic-2 for National Weather Service (NWS) guidance for today through the weekend.
Current reservoir conditions are shown below. Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek are making flood discharges. Periodic low level releases continue from Lake Bridgeport this week to facilitate swift water rescue training hosted by Texas Parks and Wildlife. The channel below the Bridgeport spillway and releases from the reservoir create excellent conditions to allow our first responders to practice and prepare for the spring flash flood season. Last day of training and releases will be tomorrow. Staff will be monitoring the conditions and making discharges as needed to safely move excess water through the system. Updates to lake status and flood discharges will be posted here.
