TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day. Graphic-1 below shows the rain totals from last night. More rainfall is expected today, especially in the Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers area. See Graphic-2 for National Weather Service (NWS) guidance on today’s storm timing and expected rainfall depths.
Current reservoir conditions are shown below. Richland-Chambers continues to pass flood water from the past event. The remaining reservoirs are near conservation level and additional rainfall could necessitate flood releases. Periodic low level releases are being made from Lake Bridgeport this week to facilitate swift water rescue training hosted by Texas Parks and Wildlife. The channel below the Bridgeport spillway and releases from the reservoir create excellent conditions to allow our first responders to practice and prepare for the spring flash flood season. Staff will be monitoring the conditions and making discharges as needed to safely move excess water through the system. Updates to lake status and flood discharges will be posted here.
