Salary: $18.36 – $27.54 per hour

Position Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Technician I is responsible for maintaining and upkeep of water district grounds, buildings, and structures.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Performs tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and other general maintenance on TRWD buildings, structures, and grounds
· Transporting materials and equipment for maintenance projects
· Perform data entry for work orders and timekeeping
· Assist with office layout changes and cleaning
· Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean work environment
· Interact and coordinate with other TRWD personnel
· After hours emergency response
· Participating in an on-call rotation
· Report maintenance or structural issues to department supervisor
· Participate in applicable condition assessments
· Maintain familiarity with strategic district levels of service
· Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
· Perform other duties as required
Required Experience:
· Two (2) years of experience in facility maintenance or related field
Desired Experience:
· Four (4) years of experience in facility maintenance or related field
Required Education/Certification/License:
· Valid Texas driver’s license
· High school diploma or GED
Desired Education/Certification/License:
· Building trades related certifications
· Previous accredited building trades internship
