Facilities Maintenance Technician I – Part-Time

Salary: $18.00 per hour

 

Location: Waxahachie, TX

 

 

Position Summary:

The Facility Maintenance Technician I (Part-Time) is responsible for maintaining and upkeep water district grounds, buildings, and structures.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Performs tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and other general maintenance on TRWD buildings, structures, and grounds
  • Transporting materials and equipment for maintenance projects
  • Perform data entry for work orders and time-keeping
  • Assist with office layout changes and cleanings
  • Uphold safety standards and maintains a clean work environment
  • Interact and coordinate with other TRWD personnel
  • Report maintenance or structural issues to immediate department supervisor
  • Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service
  • Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Required Experience:

  • Less than one (1) year of experience in facility maintenance or related field

 

Desired Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience in facility maintenance or related field

 

Required Education/Certification/License:

  • Valid Texas driver’s license
  • High school diploma or GED

  • None

  • Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, an employee will typically be in maintenance building, warehouse, or out in the field exposing the employee to weather conditions prevalent at the time. This position will also work in confined spaces, on water ways such as lakes or rivers, and at various heights.
