Engineering Project Administrator

Salary: $26.47 – $39.71 per hour

 

Location: Fort Worth, TX

 

Position Summary:

The Engineering Project Administrator works within all stages of project management and requires intermediate knowledge of project management standards and tools to help provide support to project managers within the Infrastructure Engineering department. The Engineering Project Administrator works in coordination with project managers to facilitate interdepartmental project management related activities in accordance with TRWD best practices.

 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Analyzes payment applications for Infrastructure Engineering Department to assure it meets the terms of existing contract and remedies any discrepancies.
  • Maintain and monitor coding information for all projects.
  • Maintains current and forecasted cash flow data as compared to project cash flow.
  • Executes project initiation and project management tools setup with Engineering PMs
  • Perform basic, technical administration of PMIS including basic user permissions and Construction eForm resolutions. Anything beyond basic user level administration will be coordinated with the Information Services Department.
  • Maintain PMIS of all documents and records by upholding established statutory and Records Management Policies and Procedures while ensuring accuracy, quality and integrity of all project documentation.
  • Assist in maintaining single source of truth for project records.
  • Assist users and stakeholders in the location of documents/records within SharePoint and work with Records Management Department to determine final location of documents/records
  • Assist in QA activities of procurement and contracting related processes for Infrastructure Engineering Projects.
  • Provides project management support to Engineering PMs during the entire project lifecycle including checking in monthly with PMs to update the Infrastructure Engineering Projects Spreadsheet
  • Administer and coordinate routine contract work using prescribed and standardized methods including maintenance of contract end dates.
  • Administers proper project close-out process in accordance with documented procedures, including the verification with PM that project document management requirements are achieved.
  • Performs data entry into Maximo and systems for Engineering
  • Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service
  • Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
  • Perform other duties as required

 

Required Experience:

  • One (1) year of experience in project management related processes

 

Desired Experience:

  • Microsoft Project Server, SharePoint and Maximo CMMS experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid work ethic and initiative-taking

 

Required Education/Certification/License:

  • Associate’s Degree or will substitute degree with three (3) years of project management related experience
  • Valid Texas driver’s license

 

Desired Education/Certification/License:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field
  • Construction Document Technology (CDT) Certification or acceptable equivalent
  • Construction Manager in Training Level-1 (CMIT1) or acceptable equivalent
