TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day. Graphic-1 below shows the past week’s rainfall totals. This rainfall was a big boost for the lake levels as the summer draws near, especially at the western lakes. Bridgeport has gained 1.90 feet in the past week and Eagle Mountain has gained 1.33 feet. There is a chance of rain this evening, however forecasted depths are low, less than 1/2 inch. There is a severe weather threat, so be weather aware. See Graphic-2 for National Weather Service (NWS) guidance on this evenings weather.
Current reservoir conditions are shown below. Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers are currently making flood discharges. At this time Lake Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain Lake are not expected to reach conservation level. Staff will be monitoring the conditions and making discharges as needed to safely move excess water through the system. Updates to lake status and flood discharges will be posted here.
Please be advised that forecasts and projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions. This will be the final Reservoir Monitoring Update until widespread heavy rainfall returns to the forecast. Until then continue to check here for changes in reservoir flood discharge rate.
