TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day. Currently Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain are making flood discharges. The Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers spillways remain closed. At 8 p.m. this evening the Eagle Mountain discharge will be reduced to 4,200 cfs. Additional updates to flood discharges will be posted here.
Storm totals for this morning’s rainfall are shown in Graphic-1. It is too early to determine a peak elevation at Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain, as that will ultimately be determined by the amount of inflow generated in the upper parts of the respective watersheds. However, neither reservoir is expected to be more than 1-foot over conservation level tomorrow morning. Lake Worth is expected to be near elevation 595.4 tomorrow morning. National Weather Service (NWS) guidance for this evening can be seen in Graphic-2. Skies should be clear in the Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain area, while there are low rain chances in the Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers area. Please continue to follow the NWS and the River Forecast Center (RFC) for the latest information regarding the weather and river conditions, respectively.
Please be advised that forecasts and projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions. Updates will be posted as conditions warrant. Please check back.
