Lake Bridgeport to reopen on Sunday, May 31 at 9 AM

By May 30, 2020

Based on current data and projections, TRWD plans to reopen Lake Bridgeport to recreational activities on Sun., May 31 at 9 AM.

The lake, which has been closed since May 23, has crested and is receding after a week of managed releases by the District’s team of engineers and operations staff. Bridgeport’s elevation is expected to be near 837 ft/msl by Sunday morning, just one foot above its conservation level of 836 ft/msl.

While the water in Lake Bridgeport continues to recede, boaters and those participating in recreational water activities are encouraged to remain aware of their surroundings and avoid structures such as the spillway.

TRWD’s flood team monitors lake conditions 24-hours a day, and will continue to do so until conditions improve. The latest information on the district’s lakes can be found at www.trwd.com/lake-level-blog.
