Reservoir Monitoring Update

By March 27, 2020

TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day.  Current reservoir conditions are provided below.  Currently, Bridgeport, Eagle Mountain, Cedar Creek, and Richland-Chambers are making flood discharges. Discharge reductions were made at all TRWD reservoirs yesterday.  Later this morning, Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain discharges will be reduced to 220 cfs and 2,250 cfs, respectively.  Additional updates to flood discharges will be posted here.

All TRWD lakes (including Marine Creek), trail systems and parks remain open to the public and available for normal recreational activities. However, visitors are subject to all rules, regulations and guidance issued for each specific location either federal, state or local during this period of National Emergency

Lake Worth remains closed since Monday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m.  The official notification is provided on the City of Fort Worth’s website.

National Weather Service (NWS) guidance for today can be seen in Graphic-1.  Look for isolated showers today and tomorrow morning.  The next chance for widespread rainfall is Monday.  Please continue to follow the NWS and the River Forecast Center (RFC) for the latest information regarding the weather and river conditions, respectively.

Please be advised that forecasts and projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions.  The next update will come tomorrow morning, unless conditions dictate otherwise.  Please check back.
