Reservoir Monitoring Update – Evening

By March 16, 2020

TRWD continues to monitor reservoir conditions 24 hours a day.  Current reservoir conditions are provided below.  Currently, Eagle Mountain and Richland-Chambers are making flood discharges.  As reported earlier today, discharges from Eagle Mountain were increased this morning, and the pool has begun receding.  Barring additional rainfall, this discharge is expected to raise the Lake Worth pool to an elevation of 595.6 to 595.7.  Lake Worth was closed as of 6:30 p.m. this evening.  The official notification is provided on the City of Fort Worth’s website.  Any additional updates to flood discharges will be posted here.

National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting spotty showers overnight and into tomorrow, with the next round of potentially heavy rainfall expected late Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning (see Graphic-1).  Please continue to follow the NWS and the River Forecast Center (RFC) for the latest information regarding the weather and river conditions, respectively.

Please be advised that forecasts and projections are subject to change, and TRWD reservoir operations are based on observed rainfall conditions. The next update will come tomorrow morning, unless conditions dictate otherwise.  Please check back.
