More rain fell in the TRWD watersheds Sunday night into Monday morning. Rainfall followed a similar pattern with increasing rainfall depths moving from west to east. Bridgeport and Eagle Mountain saw an average of 0.3 inches. Cedar Creek and Richland-Chambers received between 1 to 1.5 inches watershed wide. See Graphic-1 for a map of weekend rainfall totals.
Both Richland-Chambers and Cedar Creek lake levels are above conservation. Cedar Creek lake level has reached its peak for this event. Richland-Chambers lake is expected to peak in the next few days depending on inflow. Spillway operations are on-going to return the pools back below conservation. Reservoir staff will be monitoring conditions and will make updates to spillway operations as needed to safely pass the excess flood water and return the reservoir back to conservation elevation. Updates regarding spillway gate changes from TRWD lakes will be posted to the Lake Level Blog as they occur.
There is a chance for isolated rain showers on Wednesday. Strong to isolated severe storms will be possible. No significant rainfall expected in the TRWD reservoir watersheds in the next 5 days.
