Recreation opportunities for the communities we serve
Our key mission is to provide outstanding recreation opportunities while also connecting neighborhoods throughout our service areas. We manage four lakes, three parks and the Trinity Trail System which spans more than 100 miles connecting 30+ neighborhoods. Parks, trails and recreation opportunities are important, not only to enhance quality of life and neighborhood vitality, but also to preserve natural resources and provide alternative transportation links.
TRWD has partnered with Dunaway Associates, a landscape architecture and engineering firm, to begin the TRWD Recreation Master Plan. TRWD recreational assets include much of the Trinity Trails System, as well as Eagle Mountain and Marine Creek Lakes in northwest Tarrant County. The master plan will focus on TRWD trails, trailheads, parks, recreation areas, events and event spaces- specific to these assets.
